Pedal the roads of the Giro di Lombardia
The 6th of October 2013, on the Lombardia roads will take place the 107th edition of the Giro di Lombardia 2013, known also as the “Classica delle Foglie Morte”. This year it will start in Bergamo with the arrival set on the Lungolario Isonzo in Lecco.
The race will pass through two of the most fascinating and feared ascents : Il Muro di Sormano and the Madonna del Ghisallo
For the occasion the association Como Lago Bike organizes 3 rides dedicated to discover the roads that made famous this amazing race!!
Accompanied by two expert guides (one professional and one former professional cyclist), you will discover the key strategic points of the Giro of Lombardy, along with the legendary climbs that face the Pros on Sunday, October 6. There will also be the chance to meet some professional riders on reconnaissance along the way
From Thursday, October 3rd to Saturday, the 6th, we will meet every day in the three main cities of Lake Como: Lecco, Bellagio and Como. There will be three guided tours, each with its own significance, tailored to encompass the best roads, key points, history and tradition of the Classica “Foglie morte”.

Thursday October 3: “The first and the last climb of Lombardy 2013”
Meeting point: h 9,00 – Lecco, Lungolario Isonzo. – Parking Rowing
Presentation of the tour and a quick bike check-up
Check-out: h 9,30
Route: 80 km (3-4 hrs).
Climbs: Valcava, Colle Brianza, Villa Vergano
Check-in: Lecco, Lungolario Isonzo, finish line Giro di Lombardia 2013

Friday October 4: “The Legend of Lombardy Ghisallo and Muro di Sormano”
Meeting point: h 9,00 – Bellagio, Hotel il Perlo Panorama: brief presentation of the tour, coffee on the terrace of the Perlo

Route: 70 km (3-4 hrs).
Climbs: Onno, Muro di Sormano (Colma), Ghisallo
Check-in: Bellagio, Hotel il Perlo Panorama
Notes: Gears recommended for Muro di Sormano: 34×28/29. Possibility to avoid the Ghisallo climb (tour distance 50 km) or the Muro di Sormano
Saturday, October 5: “Past and future: with an arrival in Como”
Meeting point: h 9,00 – Como, at Hotel Engadina: Presentation of the tour and history and path of arriving in Lombardy Como

Route: 50 km ( 2h,30m – 3 hrs).
Climbs: Civiglio, San Fermo
Check-in: Como, Lungolario Trento
